'Sun Bear' is a dormant tetraploid introduced in 2005 by Gossard.

|I received this from @Deryll in the fall of '16. It bloomed well and nicely in '17. I like the form, the deep dusky red, and little teeth. The scapes were right around the registered 36" and was probably on with bud count also- I didn't count but the 16-20 as listed in the database seems about right.
I set some pods on it and have seeds in the fridge waiting for spring.
