Just got two plants in a pot. One of them is starting to flower. No clue what they are, please help id.

The one about to bloom is a hibiscus.

I agree, #2 looks to be a Tropical Hibiscuses (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis)

#1 looks so familiar, it reminds me a bit of Medinilla but I don't think that's it. There's another I'm thinking it looks like but Confused I can't recall the name at the moment.
