For carnivorous plants, that is the best reading material you can find. Great book!

Great book. Just remember that these are not houseplants. They are perennials.

I got them last week from Home Depot. I have them under my grow lights in the basement until it warms up where I live that they could go outside

@Nhra_20 You are building an eclectic group of plants. Love the pitcher plant, and hope to hear if it's easy or difficult?

Nepenthes are easy. Give it bright light, keep it ALWAYS moist. That's it. Bright indirect Sun. These are tropical plants.

I'll move it to the outside on my porch in the warmer weather. Under the overhang on my front porch. I'll have to repot it though

Is this normal with a pitcher plant? I don't know how long the pitchers themselves actually last

It may be an old pitcher - they last anywhere from a month or so to a year. It may be winter - mine always lose most of their pitchers in winter. It may be new home shock. Expect it to lose pitchers when you move it in and out and when you transplant.

Okay thank you very much. I'm thinking I should transplant it into a bigger put soon too.

I didn't suggest you transplant. That was your idea. The pot its in is more than is needed already.
