Very cool ... I wonder if the Owl thought the Fox might be dinner until it got right up and realized the fox's size?

Years ago I looked out my window and watched 3 of my 6 month old kittens playing tag with 2 fox kits that were around the same size. I watched them for about 20 minutes until the mother fox came out of the bushes and herded them away. None of them even made a threatening move toward the kitties. When I saw moms nose poke out of the brush I was ready to jump for the door. Why I didn't grab a camera is par for the course tho! I missed a great shot of a pair of pileated woodpeckers working together to get seed that was out of reach.

This makes you wonder if there was something going on other than a possible predator-prey situation- like simple curiosity Confused
i always think of wildlife encounters either in species, for obvious reasons, or between species for predation.

I love it!
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others.
