At least on four occasions, I was able to forage for Chanterelles in 2017. Spead over three months. Very unusual here! Just sensational taste, almost impossible to confuse them with any other! Real nutty flavour. OMG, I can taste them now!! Some newly discovered patches, and some old ones that did not reappear! Perhaps next year? Changing light conditions (trees growing taller), different temperatures, rainfall, who knows!!
