@EscondidoCal yes it's well on its way that's for sure. From little acorns grow....?? It's a bit like that. Just uploaded the only other photo I had which is rather similar but a little stepped back to show more of it heading upwards.

@carolem .....I found a lot of interesting info on it here, e.g what the leaves & blooms look like.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

The highly flexible wood of Pandorea pandorana was the most sought-after for use in woomera-cast spears among the people of the Central and Western Deserts. Its versatility allowed short pieces to be spliced together if longer ones could not be found.[6] Due to its cultural significance, a group of mythological women with slender and flexible bodies were named after it.

yes indeed; I've been there too. I find it amazing the potential of this vine. Many years back I did grow one of them myself, and the white bells looked so beautiful. Kept it neatly trimmed back after flowering.

Can it be trained to go laterally, i.e. on a chain-link fence? I may try one......I found 1 gal plants locally for ~$5.
Looks like a rapid grower.....as long as it doesn't destroy the fence. Green Grin!

yes I did grow it laterally over a strong framework to create a living wall as an urban divider; flowers profusely. Just prune back to framework after flowering.

Do you happen to have any pics of the plant wall? Sounds impressive. Smiling

Reminds me of a passion vine we had several years ago.......I was surprised how large & gnarly the stalk got, and
covered the fence......all from a 1 gal plant from an Asian market. Blinking

This one sounds like that one on steroids! Green Grin!

Cal it would've been thirty years ago and I wasn't so snappy with a camera then; sorry, no photos to share from those days. Smiling
