Welcome!

I'm not sure which plant you mean, I see two hanging baskets at the back with whitish flowers, and what may be a low growing annual bedding plant along the winding edge of the lawn that may, or may not, be a double impatiens. I don't see a white flowering shrub.

Is this your own picture? If so can you get another closer to the plant in question? Or is this a picture you found somewhere on the internet?

I am referring to the plants on the ground. This is not my yard.

Can you get any closer to take a picture of one with more detail? Are they in flower now? I can see that the flowers are double, the only two plants that come to mind at the moment are a double impatiens or a double campanula. Maybe someone else might have an idea.

I get that it's not your yard, but not knowing the area I still don't know how close you can get without trespassing. I take it this is as close as you can get. If you can get the camera to zoom on the nearest of the plants from where you took this picture it might help.

You can get a better picture if you go knock on their door.
Most gardeners love to talk about their plants and give cultivation tips.
Go for it, knock, snap the pic, and ask!
Good luck!

Can you tell us, then, what state the property is in, at what time of year the photo was taken, and whether you got a good enough look at the plant in person to know if we're on the right track if we show you pictures of possibilities?

Such as, do either of these look like it?

(Imagine this in white, there isn't a picture of a white one in the database here)

By this may we assume that you found the image somewhere on the internet? If so, please provide a link to the photo so we can give proper credit to the photographer and to better ascertain the identity of each of the plants.

Here you go.
Contact the person Scott McLeod, president of Fabulous Flower Beds, the company that designed the landscaping for the home in the photo. The house is located in Ocean Park, Near White Rock, BC.

Hope this helps.

Also do you remember whether they are really white. To me they look sort of pale lavender.

If white, could they be dwarf Azalea?

Good find, greene! The site does mention using double impatiens on this page of the site:

But shouldn't we ask if plants that are happy in British Columbia will be happy growing in Arizona?

Yes, and in the case of impatiens presumably not? Even if that's not what they are, they are almost certainly annuals and not shrubs, which may also make a difference to whether they would work for copaaz.

To my way of thinking, since I don't have a clue what will grow happily in your part of Arizona - anywhere from zone 4-10 with lots of extremes and possibly water and wind issues, take the photo to a few local nurseries and ask which plants would have a similar appearance. Thumbs up
