|Cheers, fellow gardeners, I'm planning the children's activity component of a community gardening expo and want to impress upon our visitors that they don't have to buy planters for starting seeds or growing indoor plants. The small yogurt containers come to mind, but have any of you tried anything else? Like, with deeper, clear plastic containers, could you grow carrots? I'm having wonderful success growing celery hydroponically from the leftover stump - anything like that? Plants grown from produce leftovers? Thanks in advance for your thoughts and ideas.
