This plant is unhappy! He lives in a window and gets lots of light, but his leaves seem to be shrivelling and falling off. I water him maybe every few weeks and let the water drain out... getting him a larger pot today so he can spread his earthly tentacles but what else can I do?! Help!!

Your not watering enough, your letting in go completely dry between watering's, also I think its to close to the window, if Plymouth is in Mass. then the cold draft is not good for any plant. Other members will have more advice for you

Please don't repot it until you get it into better condition. Repotting will stress it even more. The wrinkly leaves show it needs water. Water it thoroughly now and then when the first half inch is dry.

He's had a jolly goodbye watering and I've taken him out of direct sunlight for now to see if he prefers this. Two more of his leaves shrivelled and fell off but the others look healthy, fingers crossed!

Good that you watered more thoroughly, but there is no reason to reduce the light. It just needed water, nothing more.

Now that you have the water and light under control, you can contemplate pruning. Smiling

No need to learn about pruning now. Focus on the other things. We can discuss pruning down the road. Smiling
