The first thing I thought of when I saw your banner was the Mother Goose poem about "the crooked little house", in this case the "crooked little birdhouse" with at least a few crooked Atropurpureas. What a charming lyrical banner.

I tip my hat to you. Thank you all for the wonderful comments and thumbs!
Had a laugh over the crooked little house.....the local garden visitors call it the Dr. Seuss house. One of my favorite purchases for the garden from the Boston Flower Show years ago, carved with a chainsaw by a chainsaw artist from Pennsylvania. It's large and very heavy which stumped me for a bit as to how best to display it. A trip to the local salvage yard, one porch pole in a buried bucket of cement, a paint job and the house was ready for occupancy. There's a grumpy wren that nests in it each year.

@Char,

WOW! That's really a beautiful display......lighting, composition, colors, contrast.
Thanks for posting it. A peaceful place to sit & read, take a nap, just taking in all
the sights & sounds.

Very nice.

Hilarious! They really let you know when you get too close to their space.
