I took this photo at the Yampa Valley Botanical Gardens in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and I failed to write down the name of it! I was hoping that someone could help me identify the plant. As an aside, I have tried contacting the Botanic Center with my questions but so far I have not heard back from them. I do appreciate all of your help very much. Thanks very much in advance.

Salvia sp or named cultivar.

When I am in a garden with labeled plants ......I take a pic of the plant and immediately after a pic of the label.
Until you get in the swing you may like to take a pic of the ground /your hand to clearly show where one plant
ends and the next begins.
No notebook...no extra hands needed...just your camera.

Once home you can add names to your images and delete the label pics.

Yes, it is a salvia of some type. I do the same as Silversurfer for cataloging pics in botanical gardens. Snap a pic of a plant, then a pic of the label (hopefully, there is one).

Thanks! Yes! I realize that now! I have been doing that since that last trip when I realized I hopelessly lost! I so appreciate the help with these!
