Does anyone know if cabbage worms cause intestinal parasites?

I would certainly still eat it - after washing it well, of course.

Might seem like a silly question but just wanted to check if they cause intestinal parasites.

Are you referring to stories of tapeworm? I have never heard of cabbage pests such as the caterpillars of cabbage looper, cabbage butterfly and other caterpillars that feed on cole crops ever passing on parasites but I read the pork tapeworm could live part of its life cycle on cabbages and related plants. Never heard of it until you brought it up though. Even searching, I so far only found cases in other countries, specifically India.
