Begonia 'Corallina de Lucerna' in the Begonias Database

Hi: Well, this is not something I like to do to you guys at all. I have an entry under your above mentioned plant that I am very concerned is probably Cracklin Rosie and not Corallina de Lucerna as I originally had it id'd as.

I apologize. I hope I have become more discerning and less trusting since this was entered. I value and trust this database and hate to have something inaccurate in it, especially from me. I was gifted it with the lucerna title, but I am concerned it is in fact a Cracklin Rosie Begonia. If you agree it is mislabeled, please remove it, or I will if that is how it's done. I would prefer you give me your opinion as to whether it is a Cracklin Rosie before I dare label it myself. If it's not id-able, that is fine too. I love it, and it's name changes nothing. I will gladly support your decision as to where to put it or just remove it. Thank you for all the valuable info in the database. I rely on it, and it's accuracy.

Just figured out how to move this, but if I do move it, will you check in and see if your eyes agree with mine. I don't want to be incorrect again. Thank you for the help guys. Sorry.

I can't help with an ID but I suggest trying for one in the Plant ID forum. Generally we recommend placing photos of plants we're unsure of into the entry we know is correct so if you can't confirm it's 'Cracklin' Rosie' that correct entry would be the main plant entry for Begonias (Begonia)

Laurie, many Begonias look so much alike, making it very difficult to correctly identify them. I agree, you should start a thread over on the Plant ID Forum: https://garden.org/forums/view... and post a few photos to see if someone recognizes it and can provide an exact ID. Post a photo of the entire plant, a close up of leaves, stem and flower if possible.

If you can't be sure of the identity, as Evan suggested you can propose to move the photo from Begonia 'Corallina de Lucerna' over to the general entry for all Begonias (Begonia)

To move the photo just click to open it, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and select "Move this image to another plant". If you are certain it's 'Cracklin Rosie', type in the name or the plant number 143756 or if you want to move it to the general entry for all Begonias, type in the name Begonias or the plant number 75518. You will get a system message once it's been moved to the location you've selected. I hope you do find the exact identity of that beauty!

I don't think it's Cracklin Rosie, I've had it for years and the leaves are larger and deeper green than yours with a very red reverse and the leaf edges are not as serrated as yours.
