The Chinese ladies who have a garden plot are always giving me veggies from their gardens. But this one plant is a real puzzler: it has bush-like woody stems and has an oval red berry somewhat like a gogi wolfberry--but not. Does anyone know what it might be called?

No, i don't think it's a Goji berry for two reasons the berry is not quite the shape of lycium when ripe and 2, the Chinese ladies said no when I showed her the character plus a picture from my TCM herbs. So...?
