Hello all,

My girlfriend and I finally attacked these pair of roses, one we planted on the right (a tea rose, I think), and one that was there when we moved in. My question is have I cut these back enough... or, god forbid, too much?

I would cut them back, half to two thirds more.
No such thing as cutting them too much 😀.

How much roses like to be pruned depends upon what type of rose it is. It is very possible to cut back old garden roses too much. All I would do now is remove any remaining dead wood and wait to see how they do.
