Hello,

I live in SE N.C. (Bolivia). I have a shady front yard, and some sun in the back. I have a covered , screened in porch in the back, and I thought I would put in window boxes inside the porch rail ( covered, inside the screens),with Boston Ferns( for the humidity) and maybe some other plant. I am new to the area, and to gardening in general, and hoping someone could give me some tips.
What other plant could I put with a Boston Fern in a window box (or planter if window boxes are not feasible).

Thank you I'm advance for your advise.

I'm no expert but I would think the Boston fern would not be a good companion in the same pot with another plant. Separate pots would most likely be better.
