This bug has been for several months in the kitchen, usually but not always dead, in cupboards and on top of cabinets in pots, pans, bowls, and occasionally in boxed foods. I've also seen a lot of them by the window in the kitchen. I have seen them fly but they don't appear to be big fliers. Help would be appreciated, thank you!

Welcome!

It looks like a weevil of some kind to me.

I can't tell from the picture, but if it has three horizontal stripes across the body, two black, one brown it is a "nice" beetle.

It would help if you'd fill out your profile with your location. It makes it easier to ID insects if we know a location.

Hello, I'm trying to identify this bug I found crawling on my wall. I live in an urban city and am concerned that it is a Bed Bug, but have also found that it looks like a Bat Bug as well. Can anyone identify?

Mikeytogo: Here is a picture of a bedbug just taken from the Net: You be the Judge.

Caution: There is a huge hysteria over "bed bugs"! Would be my last guess, but I don't have your suspect in front of me to judge. Let us know.

@Enudi ... looks like a weevil to me to but i don't know what kind. Check grains, and flour containers to see if you find them there.

It is a bed bug or bat bug the only way to differentiate the species are structural characteristics. You need to find an entomologist for positive ID, and no pest control companies do not all have an entomologist. Look for local University.
