Just to spread a glimmer of light, for you folks up north. My daffs are coming up. The cyclamine is growing like crazy, and my stock has it's first blooms and wonderful fragrance. Spring is on the way!!! This is one of my hanging baskets on my back patio.![]() |

Lovely! I never have that kind of result when I try to stuff too many plants in my baskets! Mmmm, stock; bet it smells nice! Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid. |

I just planted some Convolvulus Seeds, blue enchantment, burgundy, and pink in my hanging baskets too. As the stock, and pansies start to fade out mid spring, when we start soaring into the 90's, it will fill in and replace it, mixed in with the petunia's and snapdragons. As the petunias and snapdragons fadesout, I will probably put purslane and rose moss in these pots, and they should do fine through our hot summer. http://www.burpee.com/flowers/... |

I planted Convolvulus seeds about 3 years ago and had them show up in all kinds of interesting places last year. ![]() Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid. |

Hey, that's awesome. I've never had mine reseed :( |

Wind. And birds. I think the convolvulus were my payback for dealing with all the weeds distributed the same way! ![]() Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid. |

My daffodils are very much awake amidst the succulents too ![]() ![]() |

don't make me hurt you, Alan... although, it seems more like spring here than mid February ! Hope we don't have to pay for this with freezing weather until August or something... LOL! That is too cute Tarev. I love daffodils, they always make me smile. It's as if they are little girls with bonnets on shaking there head in the breeze, just smiling away. They are one of my favorite bulbs. |

Woofie, I saw that!! ;) I'm sorry Sandy, I won't post anymore pictures of all the flowers I have starting to bloom in here. But just think, once it's 110 degrees here, you can start taking satisfaction in all your beautiful flowers. ![]() |

Alan, don't stop posting the flower photos just because I'm jealous - so much better than looking at the snow howling around the outside of the house today! Meanwhile, I just keep looking back through my garden photos to remind myself that in a couple of months things will be nice and green again here... This is from last May... ![]() Cubits.org - A Universe of Communities[/I] / Share your recipes: Favorite Recipes A-Z cubit C/F temp conversion / NGA Member Map |

There ya go...that's the spirit. I am from Durango, Colorado. So believe it or not, i can relate. But that is also one of the reasons I left Colorado. I don't like living in the snow. Love to visit, love to play in for an hour or two, but do not want to live in it ever again!! :) |

See, now that's why I left California. I got so sick of that relentless sunshine! (not to mention the taxes there!) ![]() Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid. |

Alan - Hey, how's it going! How did Star of the Nile survive for you? Must be nice to have such pretty flowers.. my yard's buried under 2' of snow right now (see this thread: The thread "Jan 24th.. what wild weather do you have in store for us?" in Roses forum)... Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet... |

Well, Fortunately woofie, AZ has HOT summers, so not everyone wants to live here. Our taxes are not that bad I don't think. And we definitely have some of the most competitive grocery prices in the U.S., with several different Grocery Chains fighting for everyones money. I love it hear, wouldn't trade it for the world. Hi Toni!!:) My Star of the Nile is doing very well. I still have not planted it in the ground. But I think I will plant it this fall. It's in a pot where it gets morning sun and afternoon shade. I don't like planting them right into the ground when they are that small. Our sun can be pretty fierce. |

I'm from South Bend and lived for some years in Denver, too. I'd rather wipe off sweat from a Dallas heat wave than shovel snow. ![]() ![]() Moderation in all things…except chocolate, coffee...and potato chips. |

With the way things are going, I'm going to have my front yard covered in snow until at least April, if not longer. Back in winter '06, we had a horrible set of storms that pummeled us pretty bad.. I had snow in my front yard past Mother's Day. Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet... |
