Hello,
On Valentine's Day my boyfriend bought me followers. He immediately got sick when he got home from the store. He thought he got bit my a spider or some insect. Today I found these under ONE leaf of the bouquet of flowers. My question is WHAT IS IT? Would it be the reason my boyfriend got super sick? He had HIGH fever, dots all over his hands, that then turned into blisters! Please let me know.

Those round things? They are the spore capsules of the fern. There are some people who are allergic to the spores. Yes, a rash can occur and it can look as bad as that from poison ivy. If he hasn't already, your dear and very thoughtful boyfriend should see a doctor.

I agree And I think he's a sweet man for enduring all that drama to bring you flowers. Lovey dubby Maybe next time, he should ask the florist to leave out the ferns.

I used to work as a floral designer, I would suggest avoiding the florist altogether in the future. The spores can be everywhere in a flower shop. Since boyfriend's reaction was so immediate and severe, better to be safe. Shrug! Hmm, maybe a nice piece of jewelry next time. Whistling Lovey dubby Group hug

Yes, that sounds perfect. Hurray! I hope he got some medical attention. Crossing Fingers!

You may not get the ring right away but at least you won't get any more bouquets from the florist. Whistling Rolling on the floor laughing
