I was wondering @Dave if the classes/lectures the NYBG hold each year qualify as events? All the events I have listed so far have been free but these classes require payment first. I'm pretty sure you don't need to be a member in order to register for the classes. I know about them because as a member they send me a listing of the classes. But unless you go on their website you wouldn't even know they exist. You do have to preregister for all classes and some of them fill up quickly. I've taken a class with them and really enjoyed it. If someone was visiting NYC they might be interested in taking a class for fun since some of the classes are held in Manhattan. Just let me know if I can list them. Thanks!
