I am going to be placing an order for some 'special' caladium from Classic Caladiums.

Thumb of 2018-02-24/RickM/407747
Caladium Berries 'N Burgundy is a new and very distinctive caladium
introduction from Classic Caladiums's CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman's
breeding program. With an unusual bronze tinted leaf, this sun
lover will be a spectacular addition to any landscape or pot.

Thumb of 2018-02-24/RickM/cd4995
Caladium Burning Heart PPAF is a bronze fancy leaf variety with pink
to orange spots and represents a completely new color for caladiums.
It scored high in the 2013 trials around the country. Burning Heart
is intermediate in height, grows quickly and makes a nice rich pot.
It's unique color is similar to the 2015 Pantone color of the year
(Pantone 18-1438, Marsala)and compliments almost any other plant in
patio or combination planters.

Thumb of 2018-02-24/RickM/565ed5
Caladium Desert Sunset leaves are salmon pink with copper colored
veins. Desert Sunset has a compact full habit and therefore is
useful in all pot sizes.

These varieties sell out fast, so I will need to know by the end of the day on Monday, 26-Feb-18 if you are interested. I'm going for the #2 size bulb

Prices are:
Berries 'n Cream - 40 #2 for $35.50
Burning Heart - 40 #2 for $35.50
Desert Sun - 40 #2 for $50.40

Prices do not include shipping.

If you are interested, please let me know through this thread how many of what varieties you are interested in no later than end-of-day 26-Feb-18

You are not obligated to take a complete lot of 40 bulbs per variety. Any leftovers will be available at the swap for purchase.

Did you do this? I placed an order with them for Desert Sun. I grew it last year and I really loved it. Have you grown these before?

Loretta, this is the first year I'll be growing them myself. I've bought the Desert Sun and Burning Heart from our local nurseries over the past couple of years. But, at $7 each, I figured it was time to go the 'do it yourself' route.

Agreed but it still was no deal! I haven't been successful overwintering the tubers either.

@Frenchy21

The caladium are in. Do you want to get them at the swap, or sooner?

I can pick them up at the swap if that's OK with you. Otherwise I don't mind coming over to get them sooner. Smiling Also - let me know what I owe you when you have a chance. Thanks so much for doing this Rick. Green Grin!
