Hello. Recently moved into house in Philadelphia and have noticed some interesting grass sprouting in the yard sometime in the last two weeks (mid February). This grass looks like dark green tufts coming up in patches in all sorts of places (middle of the lawn, through gravel, through planter bed mulch).

Any ideas what it is or the best way to deal with it?

Thanks!

I wonder if it could be a type of wild onion (Allium sp.)?
