Orchids forum: Not terminal spike?

Lets try this again....

I have this little guy, and it has a spike at the top center but, it's not on the very top leaf. Could this still be a terminal spike that couldn't push through with how closed the leaf is, or am I right and it's not a terminal?

What I am seeing is a nice spike..and a nice root.
I'm not sure what the rest of what you said means..but I will guess that what you get in addition to some pretty flowers will be a nice root and maybe a new plant coming up from the base of the old one. Don't forget to post pictures of your flowers in our monthly 'What's in bloom ' column .
