Well, that was quick. Here we are at March and I'm still busy with winter cleanup chores. March is International Ideas Month, so the thumbnail for this thread is Eureka. |

Is Eureka an international idea? Or are we referring to Archimedes descovery of bouyancy? A completely beautiful choice, BTW. When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes. |
We're referring to any discovery, which would then lead to an international idea if the cards are right. International Ideas include such things as new architectural solutions, the smartphone, agricultural innovations, social media experiments, etc. |

Oh, I just thought that it was an internationally recognized special month for ideas. Porkpal |
No, it's the month of international ideas rather than the international month of ideas. ![]() |

For ideas that cross national boundaries, not for months that do (which I guess is pretty much all of them, even if not always exactly at the same time...). I do feel better now that we have cleared that up! ![]() When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes. |

Beautiful! I hope she is not mercurial in the sense of unpredictably changeable, I love her just as she is. Porkpal |

A totally beautiful photo of an equally beautiful rose! Wasn't Mendeleev also known for his work with the genetic inheritance of traits through his work with peas, introducing the idea of dominant and recessive traits that govern, for example, blue eyes and how wrinkled a pea is? http://www.helpmefind.com/rose... Um, that was Gregor Mendel. But I like the "pea" connection. Porkpal |

Right. It's so easy to confuse Dmitri with Gregor, sometimes. When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes. |

A long time ago, I actually used Mendel's Law in breeding Fancy Guppies. |
