The soil under my 5 bird feeders is thick with seed hulls and, I am sure, bird feces. I regularly rake this area but it promptly gets covered again. I would like to plant something around the pole and wonder what might work best in this area.

Any ideas? Thanks

I guess evergreen.. on the short side..something that lets all the junk trickle down to the ground but conceals it?
Sun or shade?

Full sun. I have seen Burfordii holly used under feeders and the seeds hulls did filter through but the bird droppings did not. Whistling

Hm, true, those wide leaves could hold a lot of splatters.. I am picturing something a little loose, narrow leaved.. like rosemary , but not necessarily that.
