I have a newly planted Calistemom Citrinus. I planted it about 2 months ago, it is 6 ft. tall and looks very healthy. I live in the desert so it's warm year round and gets full sun all day. The issue is that when I purchased it there were about 4 "brush" blooms and it has not bloomed since. While my smaller bush variety have been blooming for months.
There are these cone-like flowers on the tips of the branches. Should they be pruned?

I don't know. It looks very different from my bottle brush tree.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. It is an immature tree, maybe that's why it looks different? Do you prune yours after the blooms wither?

Welcome! Those little 'cones' looks like future flowers to me. I only pruned mine (when I lived in warmer country) when they got too big.
