Oh the memories of the Christmas Catus that flooded my mind when I saw this banner! One of my great aunts grew Christmas Catus and they were always so very beautiful. She's passed on now, but I'll always remember her and her beauties!

@GaNinFl Stan, my grandmother as well as my mother had Christmas cactus and mine is about 40 years old. Surprisingly when I brought it from Illinois to Arkansas, it became a Thanksgiving cactus! It always bloomed right on time in Illinois. Also, thank you for the acorn.

Beautiful banner Jean!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Oh you are most welcome! It was a lovely banner. And I love a good 'holiday' cactus — be it Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter.

I recently went into a room I'd been avoiding and was shocked to see that one of mine was blooming. It's still in a Solo cup because it almost died and I like a good experiment. There it was — actually alive and blooming! Also alive and blooming was an Amaryllis that's been in a paper bag for maybe 3 or 4 years. Now, I hope all my plants that I carried outside yesterday because it was warm and sunny will handle the sudden drop in temperature last night.

@tx_flower_child Hope your plants weren't harmed by the drop in temperature. I forgot to bring in my poinsettia the only night we had frost, however, it is slowly coming back.

@bootandall Thank You! for the thumb.
