I recently bought a plant from Walmart, but it is rather mysterious as to what it is! It resembles a crassula tetragona, but the surface of the leaves are rough like a cat's tongue rather than smooth like other succulents. It is also a fairly tall plant (5.5 inches), but is trying to grow roots from the top. Please let me know what this plant is and why it is trying to grow roots so high up. Thank you!

Crassula Mesembryanthemoides I believes, I think your description is very great it is indeed like cat-tongue surfaces when I think about it.
