Bought this at Home Depot today but it only had a generic care description and said "echeveria spp"

It does look like an Echeveria, but I couldn't help you much beyond that. You will get a clue or confirmation when it flowers, which it is about to do. (That little growth to the upper right of center is a budding inflorescence. There is a second inflorescence opposite it which somebody has nipped.) Consider a slightly bigger pot in the spring when the plant is fully adjusted to your local situation.
