Hi - is it safe to plant my stored gladiolus corms in zone 7 or should I wait another week or so? |

Gladiolus, cool 👍 Let's see 🕵️. There planted so there is a good 6 inches of soil above tip of bulb, so they dont fall over, I learned the hard way, first time I planted some. They all fall down 😭😭😭. I thought, if your ground didn't freeze below 6 inches, that you don't need to lift them ? ![]() Well. Anyhow, if your ground isn't frozen, I'd plant them. Then in a couple months, plant some more, etc. Have some blooming all summer to fall. If you don't lift, they'll follow same pattern next year. Of course, it could be different between zone 8/9, compared to zone 7 ![]() Anything i say, could be misrepresented, or wrong. |
