today i planted about 5 seeds across my fence up the hill behind my house (Lots of sunlight) and i just covered the seeds up and mixed the soil around the plantsite
the hill has lots of weed and stuff but im pretty sure i removed the weeds near it and hopefully i didnt do anything wrong
currently 3 hours later i watered up the hill
is there anything i should have done?? hopefully my cucumbers grow beautifully

Sounds like you did an awesome job! Hopefully squirrels & such won't dig up the seeds and eat them ... sometimes it's better to start seed indoors in pots and plant out the seedlings if you have a lot of seed loving critters around.

How warm is the soil? The cucumber seeds will rot if the soil is below 65F. Don't worry about it - I have had to plant more than once more than once. Cucumbers, squash and melons are usually the very last thing to go into the garden.
