I just planted a 3 in 1 butterfly bush in 3 spots ( 3 bushes total ) and Im wondering other than watering everyday , what do I need to do to make sure they get established well ?
The holes I dug were not so great soil but I think will be fine once they are established. I filled the holes with rich potting soil to give them a good start.
Anything else I need to do to make sure they get established ?
Here is a photo of the ones I got.

Thanks All !
John M.

Welcome!

Unless your soil is so terrible that nothing grows in it, you should have skipped that rich potting soil diet. When you fortify a planting hole, trees and shrubs tend to have a difficult time growing beyond the hole.

Butterfly bushes are almost weeds. As long as you take decent care (and don't overwater), they will do fine.

agree with Daisy, they should be fine.
you may want to weed that grass back more, it will be growing in toward the bushes where you can't mow.
Plant it and they will come.
