I have been searching for images of the daylily by Lorraine & Lycett of Days of Wine . The two images in the data base here appear to be different so no help there ........the AHS of course doesn't even have an image ! Can anyone here post an image of this daylily that I can use to compare to my daylily. I have it listed as being in my garden but 1400 daylilies later I cant seem to find it ( thanks I was hoping to find a confirmed image to use to compare to my plants come bloom time ). Any and all help is much appreciated |

The two images in the database do have different colors but I do think that is just variations, I think they both are Days of Wine. I like to think that having the different possible variations posted is a big help. |

Having multiple images from widely different climates is one of the most valuable aspects of this site. Ironically, with far too many cultivars, the hybridizer's registration photo tends to be the least helpful when trying to identify a daylily. Looking into the database photo info for Days of Wine, both images come from Canada, but one appears to be from a coastal garden, while the other was taken further inland. The color and form variations are consistent with their respective climates. |
