I recently put all the seeds I planted into the greenhouse I set up on the 13th of March. I monitored the temperatures all day and they were great. I checked at about 11 pm before going to bed and the temperature was at 85F. Once I checked again in the morning at 7:30 am the temperature was at a chilling 33F which leads to my question. Will this one night of exposure to the cold ruin my seeds? Will it affect my germination rates, if so how much?

Shortly after I warmed the greenhouse back up with a heater and the sunrise.

Thank you for your time, I hope you have an answer.

Welcome!

What kind of seeds did you plant?

I grew a variety of plants. A lot of peppers, many herbs, vegetables, flowers, and some fruit.

It probably depends upon how long the temperature was 33 and how cold the soil got. Some seeds may rot.

I wouldn't sweat it, if you just planted your seeds yesterday.
Just keep greenhouse warm enough from now on.

Ttfn 😀
