I have not bought from this place in years, but they are offering Kirinmaru peony for 14.95, and $20 off for $40 purchase. I never had any problem ordering bulbs, but plants were usually dead. I am really tempted by this, but I know they used to have a really bad reputation. What do you think?

I'd take the chance, if it's wrong or does they'll replace or refund it. If it's a variety you really, REALLY have to have I wouldn't rely on MB though. Several of us have purchased Itohs from them, lots have been mid-ided but all were Itohs

if you search the web, you should be able to find a 50% off coupon, which is usually better the 20 off 40

also, if you wait a coupe of years I will be able to comment on true to name:)

also, customer service at Michigan bulb is good.

I decided to risk it. I feel like I saw where someone ordered from them a year or 2 ago, and everything turned out right. For the price, as long as it is a peony, I shouldn't be disappointed. I did locate a 50% off coupon, I was going to get a Celebrity peony and another plant as well, which added up to over $40. Funny, the 50% off should have been slightly cheaper, but was a dollar higher because they increased the shipping. I took a closer look at Celebrity peony though, & other photos I saw looked just like a peony I already have, so decided to skip it, so the 50% was perfect.
So good to know your order was good, Christie. Liz, I was going over & over with myself whether to risk it, I do was this peony, but like you say, and I was telling myself, hard to go wrong. I will be upset if it turns out to be something I already have several of like Sarah Bernhart, but if it is an itoh I will be happy.
Thanks for your help, Frank! I don't mind waiting a couple of years for bloom, sure would be nice if it would bloom next year though. I'll be waiting to see what yours does.
