Hi Experts ,

Just wanted to seek your opinion on if I am doing anything wrong in looking after this fig. It is placed towards a south window ( about 2 feet away ) . Well drained soil and pot and I water only when dry. I see some brown spots and veins on some of the leaves. I also see some leaves splitting and cracking in the middle. A couple of green , healthy leaves dropped too.

What am I doing wrong ? Attached pics.

A photo that shows the entire Fig including its pot would be more revealing. However, there is nothing in the photos you posted that indicates any problems. Plants are not perfect and they all have some blemishes and drop some occasional older leaves. Because of the size of Fig leaves, the blemishes are a bit more noticeable.

Lots of sun is good. Water as soon as the surface of the rootball is almost dry.

Thank you Will. I understand what you say. Just wanted to be sure am not doing anything wrong. Splitting leaves and holes in the leaves make me think I could be over watering or the lighting is wrong. Here are some pics.

It looks fine. You may want to move it out of the corner to a location close to the window where it will get light on all sides.
