A plant was given to me that has green oblong leaves outlined in yellow. It closes its leaves in the evening and open up in the morning. It is about 2 1/2 feet tall. I was wondering what it is and how to care for it. ![]() ![]() |

Possibly Senna alata which has the ability for the leaves to close shut at night. Nyctinasty. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... Nyctinasty is the circadian rhythmic nastic movement of higher plants in response to the onset of darkness. |
