We didn't get near the amount of snow expected....the sun is out now, but it's deceivingly cold. Glare Glare We were supposed to get anywhere from 2 to 6 inches through the night, up until 11:00 am, but we got maybe a total of 1 1/2 inches at best.

I could sympathize with you more, Rita, if you posted photos of what you are enduring. Whistling ( I heard that). Hilarious!

It is discouraging that you are getting a storm this late in the season, Rita. Late snows are the worst Thumbs down

Thankfully, this one is missing us. It is not too bad today, with a high according to my car thermometer of 4 C, close to 40 F. This is the nicest day we have had in a long time. March has been very cold so far. Like Rita, we had a very mild stretch at the end of February, but once March arrived, it brought the cold.

I agree My dad's birthday was April 21st, and I remember still getting a snow or two after his birthday, here and there, over the years.....even after many a gorgeous Spring day.... Glare Glare That may be nothing to most of you who are north of us, but it is very discouraging, no matter where we live.....Like Mother Nature is messing with our heads. Grumbling Grumbling

Snow in April is very depressing, May even worse. Last year, we had heavy, wet snow in May. Yuck. I am hoping for a better spring this year. Crossing Fingers!

Happy birthday to your daughter, Margaret!

It is sunny this morning, with a projected high of 5 C or 41 F. Yesterday we surpassed the forecast high by a few degrees, so I hope we do the same today Crossing Fingers!

The ground is still completely snow covered, so we have a ways to go.

Love it, Ginny! Luckily our snow is gone for now but OH says that there is more on the way, not sure when.

Edited- Just looked, there is going to be more snow over Easter bank holiday weekend in Scotland and Northern England with possibly even more later on in April. Getting really fed up with it now. Was going to sow some sweet peas directly outside but might wait now.

@touchofsky

Valerie, I remember one year (I think it was 1985 as I was still at Uni) camping out in a tent with the 'Sealed Knot' (an English Civil War reenactment society) in a field in Oxford in mid May and it snowed! I was sooo cold!🤣

Yikes, I bet that was a cold camping trip, Nikki! It sounds interesting, though.

It is too bad that there is more snow in the forecast for you. I hope you don't get it. We usually get more snow between now and mid-April, but it usually doesn't stay on the ground for long. It is still very snowy out there now, though. The spring skiers and snowboarders must be having a great season.

I think we ended yesterday at 83 f. Supposed to hit 90 or more today but will be surprised as it is pretty cloudy out right now. Shrug!

We've had a 'cold' March, too, but it was a nice cold - best month we've had in years.

It got up to 59F yesterday. We got 1.3 inches of rain yesterday. We had 0.07 inch of rain overnight. They are calling for a high of 59F today.
