This might either get you motivated or utterly exhaust you just to watch: I found a series of YouTube vids called "Escape to the Chateau". OMG, this couple bought a 19th cent French chateau (with moat and 10 acres). It's utterly dilapidated and they are restoring it themselves (5 floors, 45 rooms!!!). The guy is a one of those do-anything and everything types: one minute he's repairing a motor, the next he's installing a toilet. The show has a weird effect on me: I watched one episode and got all revved up and wanted to tear into projects. Then another time, I sat there more or less horrified *HA* and felt like lighting candles to thank GOD I didn't have to do all that!!

Heavy snow here: I think we may be approaching the 12-14 inch mark as of 7 am Weds.

Sounds like it will be something right up my alley. Thanks for the recommendation!!! I love stuff like that. I'll probably have the same motivation vs overwhelming seesaw feelings that you have Hilarious! I'll look for it and watch a few episodes this morning. You already have reached the amount of snowfall that was predicted for here. It is snowing steady now, but I'm not sure we'll near the predicted amounts. Looks like it is only about 3 inches so far, but if it keeps it up we could end up with quite a bit. The federal govt and all the schools in the area are closed, taking early precaution against the forecast.

I just finished watching Season 1 Episode 1. All that I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW. I'm settling in to watch Episode 2. It is still snowing heavily, so this is a perfect day for binge watching. Thank you so much for recommending this show. I started watching, and got hooked on, Gardener's World after you mentioned it in one of your blog posts a couple of years ago. It has been a favorite of mine ever since. I can't thank you enough for making me aware of that gem too.
