I recently re-started using my blog to just track progress in my gardens. There are currently 4 unpublished blog posts that I would like to simply delete. They are all obsolete and incomplete, of no use to me. How can I do that?

I am also a tad confused on when blog entries show up anywhere. I understand the 'following' concept. But in today's 'recent posts' on my home page, a random (to me) blog entry showed up. I don't usually see these unless I am actively following someone. I assume there are lots of blogs with regular entries that typically do not show up in 'recent posts' so wondering if perhaps there is a setting of some type that I need to tweak. Or perhaps the blogger has it set to show up somehow? Confused.

OK, I figured out the random blog posts showing up in 'Recent Threads' -- it triggers when someone COMMENTS on a person's blog post, not when the person actually publishes a new blog post. That comment essentially is a new thread and then shows up in the Recent Thread list. So, that mystery is solved.

Still trying to figure out how to delete unpublished blog posts. Maybe I have to first publish, then delete? Seems kind of backward. Or will they just live in my unpublished list forever? Thanks for any insight.

Hi Deb -- I think you do have to publish it and then delete it; I just tried it with one that I had hanging "in limbo."

And now I can't find the 'delete' button for blogs -- I saw it somewhere but must have mislaid it...

I just went to my blog page area, created a new 'test' blog, save and preview, then had the option to delete. Poof!! It disappeared.

Aha. And for those posts that are older and already published, instead of hitting the 'Edit' button (which makes sense to me), I need to hit the 'Preview' button (which makes zero sense to me) to get to the 'delete' option. But, as long as I can navigate around, that's fine.
