I ordered a peony from Michigan bulb too, and got notice that it had shipped. Both say I should receive Monday. I had really expected Saturday when I got the notice.

I received mine today, the bad part is that I do not have any plant markers that are 12 inches long.

The root looks good, I labelled it Scrum...

Exciting Frank! Are you going to pot it up or put it in the ground?

Mine arrived today too, I forgot to take a picture. I don't think mine looks as good as what I see here, but seems healthy. I am happy with it. I did plant mine in the garden, I just don't do well with pots. Keeping my fingers crossed it does well and is what it is supposed to be@

Peonyplan, WFF probably got theirs from the same grower! I felt at that price it was worth the risk.

Lilyfan, don't despair. I bought some tiny, tiny, herbaceous Peonies from Aldi's a couple of years ago for $1.69, and they all lived. One has a bud this year. If your Scrump looked alive I'm sure it will grow.

Hopefully in a couple of years we all will be pleased with our bargains!

LG, I also think that is possibly the case.

I waited until too late to get Scrump from Tulip World. They were sold out I think some point last weekend. Then earlier this week I saw a webpage ad that they have a coupon for free shipping of orders $20+. In case anyone needs it, it is TW20FREE. With Scrump gone, probably nobody needs the code now?

I have patience and willing to wait😊. I think this is the first time I have bought peonies from any on line sales, all have been trades or box stores, and last year I bought a couple from someone here. Trades and the ones from here have been by far better, the only ones to bloom 1st year. But I so enjoy the anticipation.

Unfortunately growing Peonies takes a lot of patience. I have some expensive peonies that have yet to bloom. It is very upsetting when a Peony finally blooms and it isn't what you paid for.

But for the price of the Scrumps from TW, I am willing to try!

It is interesting that they are sold out now.

I ordered from them last Fall, Pink Hawaiian coral & Scrumpdidiumptous. both the roots I received were not impressive and the shipping cost was ridicule high. I will not order from them again.

My roots arrived yesterday, I'm pleased with what I received. These will be potted for now, then they will be planted in my front garden.

I'm so sorry to hear TW was sold out, wonder if it was my fault😳!

Thanks Frank! I've planted roots smaller than these, that survived and bloomed after 3 years. I'm hoping these will do well.

Got mine in yesterday and they look great! Was planning to pot them up today but was busy doing turkey damage mitigation in the garden instead, hopefully tomorrow.

I received my root today without any notifications, it looks similar to those posted here. I hope it will survive the next winter. I got a root of Bowl of Beauty 2 years ago in spring which looked very similar, it grew during summer but did not show up next spring. But the price of the Scrumps makes it worthy to try!

Even I caved in and bought one. Hilarious! The root came this week, it was pretty small but then I remembered the cost and it seemed fair. Hopefully it will make it:)

Certainly worth the gamble for an Itoh that is hard to come by in the US!
