I bought these salvias a couple of weeks ago and they were labeled "Bright Eyes". I was expecting red with white spots....but this is what I got when they bloomed. Obviously not red, but still pretty. Any idea what they REALLY are named? I can't find a match in any of my books.... Thanks for your help. GrammaChar |

Possibly Salvia x jamensis 'Shell Dancer' http://www.suncrestnurseries.c... https://www.fbts.com/salvia-x-... Like 'Bright Eyes', it's also one of the Suncrest bred Salvias. https://www.starrosesandplants... There are sooooo many Salvia x jamensis cultivars that it might be hard to say for sure. Can you get a photo of the leaves? Really lovely plant! ![]() |

As soon as I saw the photo, I knew it was 'Shell Dancer'. I've grown it before and love the flowers. @Danita thanks for telling @GrammaChar. Here's the database link to add your photo. Autumn Sage (Salvia 'Shell Dancer') |
