Cat's Eye from Neil and Tom opening together. I have some decent clumps in different areas. Very nice and it's way more deep Ruby vs the photo image.

Another mystery noid from Shady Spot iris. I haven't seen this one yet, but it looks more modern vs historic. Hells Yeah!

One of my first purchased iris from Iris Sisters. One of my favorites which I almost lost all to rot. Haven't seen a bloom in 2 years and thought. I labeled it "Art School?" on my spreadsheet thinking it was a mislabeled or mixed up iris from the move. It's correct luckily!

Yellow Noid ... nice shot --
1st to bloom not in this Garden -- nice to have neighbors with gorgeous Iris - all I know is that it came from her grandmother ..

So, every iris that I threatened with travelling papers has decided that it will bloom this year. One of these is SDB Desert Orange that took 4 years to bloom. Mine has a bit of front damage to the standards but it is very orange.

The blooms didn't come up on the established fans, but instead on these tiny little stalks. Look how short they are!

I'm really enjoying all these blooms... Lovey dubby Now back in England after an extended flight (air traffic controllers on strike in France, so we had to fly a long way round). I'm very happy to see all your pretties, makes me less sad to be missing the blooms in France. Smiling

Spoon's Cardinal Coat bloomed for the first time. Really lovely deep red. The fans had lots of damage from a late snow, and now have some leaf spot. I will be trimming these fans quite a bit. You can see a common frost damage issue I get in the lower right of the picture where the leaves are heavily folded.

Thumb of 2018-04-07/Lestv/fc665a

The pine pollen has been quite heavy. It makes Cardinal Coat look like it was dusted with sugar when you open the pic.

Leslie, Anna's Red is a very nice Hellebore. I really enjoy mine here. It has such a lovely perennial foliage too, although it often gets damaged during the winter here.
