William, good to hear Anna's Red does well. I like that it has colorful foliage for year round appeal. My other two have ordinary green foliage. Do you keep yours in a protected area?

I am adding another picture of Blyth's Shindig because the later blooms here are a darker pink than the initial blooms.

And it appears this one is blooming at the same time as Mika's bloom in France, Blueberry Tart:

Blue Hues had it's first bloom in my garden. I think it is quite pretty.

It does have a violet tint to it, but comes across as quite blue in the garden.

Another new one for me is Granny Apple. It is the child of Blue Hues (above) and Winter Embrace that I posted earlier.

It looks very much like the color of a granny smith apple when it opens.

While it still appeared to be that color to my eye, the camera caught the bloom as more golden after it ages. Could be the influence of the pine pollen though.

Not at all. It just gets a bit of shade and some wind protection from the forest. We had the worst season for hellebores that I can remember as the beginning of winter was very mild and then it got very cold in February/March and there was no snow cover for the coldest part. Some other hellebores had frozen buds as they were so advanced when the cold came, but not Anna's Red. In comparison Molly's White (which also has variegated foliage) suffered severe frost damage and its buds were mostly mush or so unsightly that I choose to just cut it all away.

I think you mean Granny Apple. I am guessing they couldn't name it Granny Smith for copyright issues. 😆. I have another green that has bloomed now. And boy is it green. Will post soon.
