April is National Poetry Month, so our thumbnail photo for this thread is Pure Poetry, one of my favorite roses.

And another photo to wish you all a Happy Easter.

I love the soft color blends on both, but Pure Poetry has the bonus of ruffled petals!

So, here is my rose poetry entry for the start of April.

A rose arose
Pulled up by a garden hose.

(Inspired by real world experience)
When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes.

A leaf, a flower, a thorn
A gash in my arm has torn
When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes.

Chilly Easter morn,
Under this crown of thorns
Baby bunny was born
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.

Six trumpets I picked this morn
My mantel they now adorn.

Apologies to those seeking pure poetry here. It's more like doggerel.

Leading to an Escheresque question "Does your doggerel barcarole?"

Or is that Taboo?
When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes.

Drooling over roses on A Reverence for Roses and the one that I want I don't want to spend the money on. Triple Delight. Sighing! I didn't want a pink rose anyways. Not yet anyways. Need a yellow. Hilarious!
