Hi Cora, your seedlings look great! I tried to find an image of that Hoya with no luck, there is none in the NGA database. Do you have an image that you could post? I am new to Hoya plants, just have 2 so far. ![]() |

Cora, ![]() ![]() I hope you'll keep us posted on the growth of your little seedlings! Hoya papaschonii is a new one to me, I found images here on this page: http://vermonthoyas.com/hoyas-... From information I could find, it's a shrubby type Hoya, rather than a climbing vine and the flowers have no detectable scent ... but they are still cute little blooms! That Hoya is not currently listed in our database so I submitted a proposal to add it; I hope you will consider adding photos once it's showing up! ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

I knew Doug from another gardening website and cubits.org ... he grows amazing Hoyas up there in Vermont! I didn't realize he had an e-bay store, will have to look for it! ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

I just posted pictures of the bloom and a plant in the database. It's a great little Hoya, but don't treat it like a conventional Hoya. Not difficult but needs to grow in a mix of sphagnum moss and perlite or find orchid bark. They make sweet little hanging pots or stand alone. I've got a couple extras I could either trade for something unusual or sell. God gave us wings. He just called them horses |

I have spagnum moss order. I'm going to grow it like Doug suggested. I have about 30 + seedlings need to be transplanted soon. I think 100% of the seeds he sends came up. |

They look nice and healthy, seem to be doing really well. Are you going to sell or trade them? |
CoraBarner Apr 24, 2018 1:39 PM CST |
Right now, I'm more into keeping them all/mostly alive. |

Being new to Hoya growing, and I have blooms right now, I am not sure how you get seeds, do they do their own thing, or do they need insects like bees? |

@CoraBarner, Congratulations on all those babies ... looking good! ![]() A few years ago, I had seedpods on a couple of hoyas; I don't remember which hoyas they were but I never tried growing from seed just because I'm old and lazy. ![]() A lot of hoyas attract night pollinators like moths but I've also seen Hummingbirds visiting my Hoya blooms during the day. ![]() ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

@plantladylin GREAT shots of your Hummingbirds on the Hoyas. Would love it if you posted those to my Facebook page. Alot of people don't know that moths, butterflies and hummingbirds will nectar from them.plantladylin said: God gave us wings. He just called them horses |
