Thread OP

Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what is wrong with my two plants? I don't know if I'm under watering or overwatering or if they aren't getting enough sun?

Welcome. Tell us more, it might help. Where do you live? Show us where you normally have the plants - how much light do they get? How big are those pots? Gene

Hi & welcome! The top plant looks like an Echeveria but unfortunately it looks dead. If you remove some of the healthy leaves, you might be able to make some babies & save it that way. It does not look like there's enough healthy stem left to take a stem cutting, but if you cut into it above the black part and it's a normal color inside, that could work.

They may be reacting to root disturbance that occurred during repotting. Or the roots may be suffocating from the excess soil surrounding the rootball. Larger pots make it very easy to inadvertently over water. Succulents have thin, fine root systems that need to dry out quickly after each watering. They also need lots of sunlight.

Bottom line: more light and less water.

I see that you have them planted in glass containers without drainage ... if they are in a heavy soil, without proper air circulation, the roots may be rotting.

I have them either right next to my window or on a table probably 5ft away. I think that I am giving them enough light but my window is on the shady side of my building so that could be a possibility. Also I try to only water them when the soil is dry so probably a week to a week and a half. They are in cacti/ succulent fast draining soil. I know the plant on top is dead but is there anyway I could salvage the plant in the bottom pictures?

Does not sound like anywhere near enough light to me. Gene

Agree. I'm not sure there's anything wrong with plant #2. Is it a Senecio? Do you know which species?

The second plant does look like it might be Senecio or Kleinia of some sort. A couple for comparison:
