I placed order on March 27. When I wasn't able to track it by March 30, I called, and learned that they had held the order bec. their system was telling them my address was incorrect. (It was correct). They had my phone # and my email, but they never contacted me. They just let the order sit there. so the person I spoke to said she would make sure it went out, and she would send me an email to confirm. Never got the email. Called on Monday, asked to speak to a supervisor. They took my # and said a supervisor would call me back. Never called me back. Called today. Told my order was shipped. We'll see. Again, asked to speak to a supervisor, again put on hold. The company is Parks, and I wouldn't order from them again, if they paid me. oK, I know someone or several someones are now going to write and say what great service they had with Parks. This is my experience.

Hello ellenr,

There is a website that posts customer experiences with seed companies. This is what they have for Park Seed:
https://davesgarden.com/produc...
By a coincidence, their number of positive reviews is equal to their negative reviews for Park Seed as I write this. You could post a review to tip the scales to the negative side. It has been several years since I placed an order with Parks, but I had no dissatisfaction with them in the past. I think their catalog descriptions were among the best in the business. And their seed packet technology is better than most.

I personally wouldn't expect a seed mail order that I placed on March 27 to be here yet. I usually allow a couple of weeks for a seed mail order to arrive.

All that said, their responses to your telephone calls were a bit bizarre.

ZM
I tip my hat to you.

Thanks, for that url. I will post there.

My problem is not with the amount of time, my problem is with getting wrong info, people not calling me back when they said they would, etc.

Well in the end, I always get more flies with honey than vinegar. (And I keep my sanity, too.) In fact just this week, I got a free oil change due to a paperwork mistake, just by asking politely.

Be stern, but stay cool.

I've been using Johnny's and Baker creek the past few years. I get my stuff pretty quick. And their catalogs are AWESOME!

I got my seeds yesterday. Halleluya.
Nevertheless, their customer service stinks, and I would never order again. It is unforgiveable to not respond to many phone calls, emails, even facebook messages. One or two - ok, but not many. That amounts to just ignoring one's customers.

Although Park Seeds has some unique varieties, I've had really mixed results with their shipping. It seems as if anything is is not ready to ship, they hold up your entire order. The other issue I have with them is that they don't put the year the seeds are for on their packets. they could be several years old for all I know....

I think there are seed companies with better customer service, and that's where I chose to spend my gardening dollars.

Park was a great company until the family sold it around 2005. It was truly my go to mail order for seeds. According to Wikipedia it has been sold a few times after that and now belongs to a publicly traded company.

The ones I got were stamped with the year.
Maybe they just started doing that.
