This plant has orange blossoms that have yet to fully open and also has a hard, woody stem. I purchased this at a local indoor garden in Beaumont, Tx. Thank you for your time! ![]() |

Pretty! I'm not sure but it reminds me of Orange Trumpet Creeper (Pyrostegia venusta) ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

My first impression from the color of the bloom and the shape of the leaf is that it is a milkweed. "Asclepias tuberosa Orange Butterfly Weed". I have never seen one in a pot but we plant the seed here to support the Monarch butterfly. Maybe someone else will weigh in on this. I believe mellie is right on. |

The buds don't look match and the leaves look too wide for Butterfly Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) fly-Weed-Asclepias-tuberosa/: ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

@kalllimnex, welcome to NGA. Join us at the Texas forum. When the blooms open, take a photo of them and repost. “For even the Son of Man/Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”” Mark 10:45 |
