Everyone - Thanks for the compliments on the other blooming seedlings. CCC107 has a rust rating of about 2.5 -3.0. In the Summer and Fall is when I see the rust show up. Ironically, it is planted in the same raised bed as the CCC01 seedling (recent posted seedling) which shows minimal rust.

Fred - If I am not mistaken, you have gotten some really lovely blooms from other DELANEYS RAINBOW X TET LILLIAN'S THIN ICE crosses. Your crosses have produced some very elegant flowers! Lovey dubby

Becky I agree with everyone else, very nice flower with a great scape.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
This is the year I will make the decision on the three year olds that I post here. I hope a few like the last one will make the cut.

This had its first bloom yesterday, really hate the green tips on the first flowers. Huge flower with a great pattern.

Nice pattern indeed, Fred. May it will settle and the tips will open on up on the next blooms.

Last summer I had the green tip problem on some daylilies. I hadn't had that problem before to any extent. I think it was the cool temperatures last summer.

Fred - I bet most daylily buyers might not even notice the green tips. But I am picky like that with my own seedlings .... though I am NOT so picky about other hybridizers seedlings. WAVES OF JOY X BUDDY'S SPOOK 9 X 26 has a great pattern, lovely colors, and a very nice form! It is a keeper in my eyes! Lovey dubby

Some repeat seedlings this morning. No more new seedlings blooming quite yet, but there are scapes popping up everywhere! Big Grin

This really is a pretty bloom, too bad the foliage isn't so attractive here in the south. Another bloom of CCC107:

ZZZ38 second bloom. The blooms settle down by the second or third bloom. I really love the blooms, but the short scape is not attractive at all. I keep it around for possible breeding (for the blooms):

It's so funny that CCC01 is the very first seedling that I actually recorded & tracked that was sowed from seed. (I grew others before this one from seed, but never labeled or recorded them.) And it is one of my favorites! First seedling of all those that I grow. First time labeled seedling was a charm for me. This seedling has good branching (3-4 branches) and a nice bud count. Strong Scapes. Great foliage which is very rust resistant. And red happens to be my favorite color. Probably why I like it so much! And I love the curly, unusual form. I love seeing blooms on this one in the morning! It is the very first daylily blooms I see as I walk out into the garden under the arbor. It may not look like anything different than what others have registered, but to me it is what I consider a perfect seedling in my garden! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

Fred -- another one that I love! Lovey dubby

Becky, are the blooms on your ZZZ38 dotted/speckled as they appear to be in that photo? And if so, have you thought about crossing it with one of the dotted/speckled registered daylilies? I can't remember whether it's a dip or tet, but I can think of one of each: LOTTA DOTTA (tet) and MARK'S BOUQUET (dip). I have one seedling that looks like it's got dotting/speckling, but it's a tet and my only dotted registered daylily (MARK'S BOUQUET, and I just got it last month and it already has 3 little scapes) is unfortunately a dip -- wouldn't you know... Anyway, I think your ZZZ38 is very interesting -- and that last one is a beauty!
